St. Croix Valley PRCA Royalty

Seeking St. Croix Valley Rodeo Queen and Princess Candidates!

Calling all young women ages 16–24 who want to represent the sport of rodeo and serve as ambassadors for the St. Croix Valley PRCA Rodeo.

No previous royalty experience is necessary — we’ll show you the ropes. You should have a love for and knowledge of the sport of rodeo, be able to ride, and have a suitable horse.

As St. Croix Valley PRCA Rodeo Royalty, you’ll have the opportunity to:

• Promote the rodeo throughout the year
• Represent the rodeo in parades, rodeo grand entries, and flag presentations
• Assist the committee with rodeo events
• Attend other Wisconsin PRCA rodeos
• Participate in media and public appearances
• Sign autographs and connect with rodeo fans of all ages
• Serve as a positive role model in the rodeo community

Judging Categories:

• Personal Interview
• Horsemanship Pattern
• Queen’s Run + Flag Run
• Short Written Test
• Appearance

Please bring your own horse. A horsemanship pattern will be provided a week or so before the event so contestants have time to practice.

Tryouts are held the LAST SUNDAY of September each year (time TBA - watch our Facebook page for official event posting) in the lower arena of the St. Croix County Fairgrounds. Fully completed applications are due by 11:59pm on the Sunday ONE WEEK PRIOR TO EVENT, along with a $50 non-refundable application fee. (Consider getting a sponsor for your entry fee — we’ll be happy to give them a shoutout!) Late and/or incomplete applications will not be considered.
